Man today hurt. 4.70 miles of pain. Walked the last mile, this I.T. Band thing is brutal. I am officially calling it for 2 weeks. Massages and stretching is going to be key. I had this injury before and it took me out for 2 months. So at least this time I have recognized the injury and won't try to push through the pain this time.

IT bands do suck. I injured mine in 2010 and couldn't really run for 5 months. At least you recognize it now and have the time to get it recovered. If you can stand it, I am guessing swimming wouldn't cause problems.

Take a break and don't worry about it. You've got nothing to gain by suffering through.

Smart move Ben. I've felt bad for you the last couple days, seems like the ITB needs some rest.

Man thanks guys for the love!

Fritz- ya swimming hasn't bugged it at all, so most likely I will spend most of my time in the water e next couple weeks.

Does anyone of you guys have any other ideas on getting this injury to heal quicker?

Sorry man, that sucks. If you got to take some down time then that's what you gotta do. Better to miss a few days now than a few weeks down the line.
